Aida Sanchez de Serdio. An imperfect education. Critical reflections on the pedagogies of art. November 29 at 8:00 p.m. at the Josefina Soria Library in El Luzzy

Starting from her book An imperfect education, the author will share various debates about the relationship between arts and education,
understood as spaces articulated through cultural and political struggles. This perspective arises from the need to take a
non-celebratory look at education, culture and art: none of these practices is by itself the solution to any problem, rather
it depends on how we position ourselves in these fields. The objective of both the book and this presentation is to contribute to the
existing debates from a position that is not affirmative but committed to permanent uncertainty.
Aida Sánchez de Serdio is a Doctor of Fine Arts, educator, researcher and cultural worker. She is interested in collaborative cultural production
, as well as educational practices in relation to the arts and culture, as a place of production of knowledge,
political debate and social transformation. She is currently a professor of the Degree in Arts and the Master's Degree in Cultural Management at the Open University
of Catalonia (UOC). She has previously been an Education and Public Advisor at the Reina Sofía National Art Center Museum in Madrid,
and a teacher at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona.
