Jazz /soul guitarist and singer Kosho, classical guitarist Augustin Wiedemann and internationally renowned violist Johannes Erkes present a
very unusual and interesting programme. "Songlines" combines the music of John Dowland (in a special arrangement for this trio) with instrumental versions
of songs by Franz Schubert and contemporary songs written by Kosho.
- Michael “Kosho” Koschorreck performs with such great jazz artists as Phillipe Catherine, Les McCann, Wolfgang Haffner, and Mem Nahadr. He is a guitarist for the number one German Hip Hop/Rock group "Söhne Mannheims". His second solo CD "Tinggal" was released through Warner Music in 2002. Kosho calls his music "Mondo Funk Guitar": crossover sounds with influences from bands like Steely Dan, enriched with elements of Flamenco, Jazz and Soul. .
- Augustin Wiedemann was the winner of the “VI International Guitar Competition” in Havana/Cuba. He has played in most European countries, as well as South Korea, the USA and North Africa, and has been teaching at the renowned Mozarteum in Salzburg and the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. He has so far released six albums with music from Baroque to Contemporary and Jazz (Sony/BMG and wildner records). He currently teaches as a guitar teacher at the Austrian Feldkirch Conservatory.
- The German violist Johannes Erkes is equally in demand as a soloist and as a chamber musician and has performed in all the major concert halls of Europe, South America and Japan. His musical partners, among others, were Valery Affanassiev, Gordan Nikolic, Michel Dalberto, Natalia Gutman, Alexander Lonquich, Karl Leister, Charles Neidich, Alexander Janiczek and Wolfgang Schulz. Erkes is a regular guest leader at the Camerata Academia Salzburg.
