THE CAYUCOS OF KAYAR

After 15 years in Spain as an immigrant, Thimbo visits his Senegalese fishing village, where he is overcome by mixed feelings of nostalgia and uprooting, longing and resentment. He also struggles with the dangerous influence he exerts on the village's young people, who see him as an example to follow and seek to emulate him with a very dangerous journey in a small boat.

Thimbo Samb arrived in Spain at the age of 17, having to overcome numerous difficulties to fulfil his dream of becoming an actor. He has participated in numerous television series and films, and tells his story in the play, El sueño es vida. He uses social media to express himself, denouncing injustices and showing aspects of his work and family life in both Spain and Senegal.
