DECOLONIAL FEMINISMS FOR TURBULENT TIMES
Presented by: Carmen Fernández Molina, Equality Technician
This presentation will address the critique of hegemonic white feminism, analyzing why it is problematic in diverse and global contexts. The concept of intersectionality will be explored as a tool to understand the multiple oppressions that racialized women experience. Likewise, the richness of other feminisms will be valued, from non-Western perspectives, and the urgent need to decolonize feminism to build more inclusive, fair and representative alternatives in these turbulent times.
