Neïla Salah is a young woman from the Parisian suburbs who dreams of becoming a lawyer. She has enrolled in the most important law school in Paris, but on her first day of class she has a confrontation with Pierre Mazard, a somewhat confrontational professor. To redeem himself, the professor offers Neïla help in preparing for an important national exam. Although he is cynical and demanding,
Pierre would be the ideal help that Neïla needs, but to achieve this, they will both have to overcome some prejudices.
