Synopsis:

Gertrud is a mature and idealistic woman who is looking for absolute love, with a capital L, but her romantic experiences are always doomed to failure. She decides to separate from her husband, an eminent politician, because he puts work before love. She falls in love with a young musician who is beginning to reap his first successes, but for him, who only thinks of himself, Gertrud is nothing more than a passing adventure. On the other hand, an old poet boyfriend reappears in her life with the intention of resuming their old relationship.
