HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN

Cartagena hosts the musical Highway to Heaven, which tells the story of the young Blessed Carlo Acutis, from his birth until his death from leukemia in 2006, at just 15 years old.

More than thirty students from the Talitha Cumi performing arts school in Valencia make up the cast of the musical, which has an original script and includes live songs and choreographies of different dance styles, such as break dance, ballet, electrodance, shuffle, flamenco or hip hop, among others. The production of the musical is currently touring our country, which will stop in Cartagena on March 29.

This is a proposal that makes it possible to "relive, in an enjoyable way, an admirable testimony of faith ." Acutis has become an example, since he was beatified by the Church in 2020 and next April he will be canonized, that is, he will be declared a saint.

Acutis became known for sharing his faith on the Internet, on a website he created himself; he is also credited with performing several miracles. This musical is titled “Highway to Heaven,” as that is what the young man called the sacrament of the Eucharist.

The play will be performed on March 29 at 7 p.m. at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center.

Admission is free, subject to capacity.
