Applications for municipal boards and local associations (AAVV) and participation in the 2025 Municipal Theatre Circuit are now open.
Cartagena City Council is resuming the 8th edition of the Municipal Circuit of Professional and Amateur Theater in neighborhoods and districts 2025, with a program of performances for all audiences, in social venues and civic centers throughout the region. The program is designed to bring the performing arts, specifically theater, to our neighborhoods and districts and promote the work of professional companies and amateur groups as cultural disseminators.
Once the proposals have been made by professional companies and amateur groups offering plays that will be part of the program, and due to the high demand, which has been growing in recent years, a period of APPLICATIONS is now open from neighborhood associations and neighborhood councils that wish to request performances in their neighborhoods of the plays and companies that are part of the Municipal Theater Circuit 2025.
Applications can be submitted from the date of this publication until Friday, April 27th . The regulations for participating in this program can be found attached to this news item. Registration and the necessary documentation must be submitted digitally to the Cartagena City Council's website ( Relevant Procedures/General Application).
Associations wishing to participate in the 2025 Circuit must submit the attached annex, indicating the fields with the required information. The attached regulations are mandatory, and requests for works not submitted through this mechanism will not be processed.
Once supply has been matched with demand, responding to criteria of equity and proportionality, the selection of projects will be made by a technical committee, which will make an initial programming proposal made up of municipal technicians from the Department of Culture, which will take into account quality, suitability for the cultural space (AAVV venues or open-air stages), the proposed dates and participation in previous circuits.
