The summer program will once again offer free screenings every Tuesday in August in one of the most emblematic cultural spaces of Cartagena's summer cultural scene.
The series will be held every Tuesday in August, and as has been the custom for the past 7 years, in collaboration with the Cartagena International Film Festival.
With free admission until capacity is reached, the films start at 10pm, with the venue opening at 9:30pm.
The program planned for this edition includes:
• August 4: The Man in the Iron Mask. Running time: 132 minutes
1660. While France starves and begging is rampant, Louis XIV, King of France, has established a reign of terror. Only the Three Musketeers can right this injustice. The fate of France hangs in the balance. Philippe, the king's brother, imprisoned in an iron mask, is the only one who can save his country. The Three Musketeers devise a plan to make Philippe king. They have only three weeks, and the chosen moment to capture Louis XIV and place Philippe on the throne is at the masked ball. Will the Three Musketeers succeed?
• August 11: The Innerspace Chip Duration: 120 minutes
The temperamental pilot Tuck Pendleton volunteers for an experiment that involves miniaturizing him inside a capsule that will be inserted into a rabbit. But criminals try to steal the invention, and Pendleton accidentally ends up inside a hypochondriac named Jack Putter. From then on, the two are forced to work together to get Tuck out of Jack's body.
• August 18: Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Running time: 143 minutes
Caribbean Sea, 18th century. The adventurous Captain Jack Sparrow pirates the Caribbean waters, but his exploits come to an end when his enemy, Captain Barbossa, after stealing his ship, the Black Pearl, attacks the city of Port Royal and kidnaps Elizabeth Swann, the Governor's daughter. But Barbossa and his crew are victims of a curse that condemns them to live eternally and transform into living skeletons every night. The curse can only be broken if they return a piece of Aztec gold and settle a blood debt. Rescuing the beautiful Elizabeth will be a difficult task, for the curse is real, and it will be hard to confront those who cannot die.
• August 25: The Little Mermaid Duration: 83 minutes
Ariel, daughter of King Triton, is the mermaid princess. Her birthday is about to be celebrated, and her greatest wish is to meet humans. With the help of the witch Ursula, Ariel manages to reach the surface, where she saves a handsome prince from drowning after his ship has just wrecked, and she falls madly in love with him.
