14/06/2026 Seen: 970 times

The 5th "Of Sea, Port, and Bands" Concert Series is an initiative organized by the Federation of Music Bands of the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the Port Authority and the Cartagena City Council. This project aims to bring band music closer to the public in an emblematic setting like the port of Cartagena, while simultaneously promoting the region's musical culture. The concerts will be held in the Plaza Héroes de Cavite, a privileged space by the sea that allows everyone to enjoy the music in an open and accessible environment.

The program for this fifth edition features six outstanding bands, all from different municipalities in Murcia. The series began on June 9th with a performance by the Agrupación Musical Nuestra Señora del Pasico from Torre Pacheco, a group with a significant history in the regional music scene. The festival continues with the following dates:

June 14th; Agrupación Musical de la Unión
July 26th; Unión Musical de Torre Pacheco
September 6th; Carava de la Cruz Musical Group
October 4; El Palmar Musical Association
October 11; Alcantarilla Friends of Music Association
All concerts are scheduled for 10:00 AM and all performances are free.

The series, "Of Sea, Port, and Bands," has become a cultural highlight here in Cartagena, allowing some of the region's best bands to share their work with the public on a unique stage overlooking the Mediterranean. This initiative brings together the essence of the city; the community's musical heritage, and reinforces the maritime role as a space for enjoyment, community, culture, and tourism promotion.
