Local Culture: Cultural Projects - Neighborhoods and Provincial Councils. July, August and September 2026

The cultural projects submitted by the Neighborhood Associations and the Municipal Boards of the Cartagena City Council, for inclusion in the "Culture Close to Home" program, began in April and will run until the end of 2026. These projects encompass a wide range of cultural activities and involve all types of people: children, youth, adults, and families. They include: film, popular culture, music festivals, participatory murals, opera, circus and magic shows, workshops for children, youth, adults, and families, theater, storytelling, environmental activities, concerts, traditional games, book presentations, painting competitions, rhythm workshops, solar cooking, children's theater competitions, themed parties, open mic nights, ethnographic workshops, podcasts, photography exhibitions, dry stone construction workshops, a toy swap fair, and historical talks. 

The projects that will be carried out in June 2026 are the following: 

  • July 3: Isla Plana. Screening of the film "Jaws"
  • July 20: Miranda. Open Mic `Miranda Talent`
  • July 23 and 25: Playa Honda. Participatory mural
  • July 31: La Azohía. Screening of the film `Jaws`
  • August 21: Campillo de Adentro. Storytelling
  • September 1st and 3rd: Marfagones Mills. Participatory mural
