Local Culture: Cultural Projects - Neighborhoods and Provincial Councils. October 2026

The cultural projects submitted by the Neighborhood Associations and the Municipal Boards of the Cartagena City Council, for inclusion in the "Culture Close to Home" program, began in April and will run until the end of 2026. These projects encompass a wide range of cultural activities and involve all types of people: children, youth, adults, and families. They include: film, popular culture, music festivals, participatory murals, opera, circus and magic shows, workshops for children, youth, adults, and families, theater, storytelling, environmental activities, concerts, traditional games, book presentations, painting competitions, rhythm workshops, solar cooking, children's theater competitions, themed parties, open mic nights, ethnographic workshops, podcasts, photography exhibitions, dry stone construction workshops, a toy swap fair, and historical talks.

The projects that will be carried out in October 2026 are the following:

October 10, 17 and 24: Quarries. II Conference on History and Cultural Heritage

October 12: The Ports of Santa Bárbara de Arriba. "Hispanic Day: Concert by Adrián Ruiz"
October 16, 17 and 18: El Albujón. 1st María Teresa Antera Baus Children's Theatre Competition
October 17: Santa Ana Pueblo. Magic Workshop and Show
October 17: La Loma de Canteras. 1st Ramón Alonso Luzzy Quick Painting Competition. City of Cartagena
October 17: Miranda. `Miranda Talent´
October 21: Perín. Presentation of the book "El Portús, between rigging and tar".
October 24: Virgen de la Caridad neighborhood. "Breaking stereotypes: Cultural day with podcasts, micro-theater and open mic"
October 25: Los Barreros. Neighborhood in Action
