Cartagena Suena Navidad: Conciertos en el parque de la Rambla
Cartagena Suena Navidad is an initiative organised by Raw Music and promoted by Cartagena City Council, which will be included in the city’s official Christmas programme this year. The event will run from 17 December to 10 January at Parque de la Rambla, next to the Cartagonova Stadium, where a marquee with a planned capacity of 2,500 people will be set up. Tickets on sale now
The programme will feature concerts by Despistaos, La M.O.D.A. and Demarco Flamenco, two days of Rock in Carthago, and a range of music events aimed particularly at younger audiences. These include Tardebuena, a Discojoven event featuring Mar Lucas, a Preuvas party, New Year’s Eve celebrations, and activities running through to 10 January.
PROGRAMME
On Friday, 18 December, Despistaos will perform alongside an opening party. On Saturday, 19 December, it will be the turn of La M.O.D.A. and Pájaro Guía, while Sunday, 20 December, will feature a day of Rock in Carthago. The festival, which has not been held for 14 editions, brings together rock bands from across the city.
The programme will continue on Saturday, 26 December, with Demarco Flamenco, followed by a second day of Rock in Carthago on Sunday, 27 December. Tickets go on sale on 13 October via the website www.cartagenasuena.com.
Parties for young people throughout the Christmas season
In addition to the concerts, Cartagena Suena will offer a calendar of parties beginning on Thursday, 17 December, with an opening afternoon party. On 24 December, Tardebuena will take place; on 29 December, there will be a Discojoven event featuring Mar Lucas; and on 30 December, a Preuvas party with JuancaSupersub DJ. On 31 December, Welcome 2027 will provide a party to see out the year.
In January, the programme will continue with a Reggaeton Party on 2 January and Noche de Reinas, a drag party scheduled for 5 January. The remaining dates will be filled with events organised under the name Fiesta Joven Cartagena Suena.
The organisers are also planning accessibility measures, in collaboration with the Music For All Foundation, as well as initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of the events.
