The Cartagena municipality has a designated dog beach with marked sections where dogs are allowed to stay and swim under the supervision and responsibility of their owners. This dog-friendly area is located on La Calera beach, between Isla Plana and La Azohía. Signage specifies rules for using this section of the beach.
