EL KANKA IN CONCERT, tour: 'Things of the living'. EL BATEL

 

The singer-songwriter El Kanka has become a great reference in the national music scene. His latest album, 'Cosas de los vivientes', is the fifth album by the Malaga native. In March, the artist began the tour with this latest work, with which he is touring all of Spain and has also made the leap to Latin America.

ENTRANCE

This is his most complete and sincere work, in which he has opted for an old-fashioned compositional process together with his musicians during rehearsals, for a production without artifice, and lyrics that continue to delve into the everyday, always with El Kanka's particular narrative and his personal musical stamp.

'Cosas de los vivientes' is a title that, according to El Kanka himself, brings together the themes of the 14 songs that make up the album and that talk about different topics, but all everyday and in which anyone can feel represented: "A dead person does not feel, nor does his stomach hurt nor suffer from heartbreak or flu, nor does he eat hamburgers or listen to music. The living do, fortunately or unfortunately, suffer, enjoy and watch TV. So, this is a collection of things that happen to us living people, experiences and reflections." And he adds: "In some songs I show myself as I am and in others as I want to be; they deal with friendship, nostalgia, death, love, future projects and the shadows of the past, I make fun of the 'opinion makers' and, sometimes, I just let the word flow."
