Guadalupe Plata are not newcomers, although it seems like it was yesterday when they released their first self-titled EP , an album that marked a clear guideline for our most international underground band: work, militancy and a clear passion for the classics.
These are the premises that the band from Úbeda has been operating with since 2007, performing in all imaginable venues and releasing songs that have ended up cementing six untitled albums filled with crackling blues, lysergic psychobilly and sci-fi surf. With them they have accumulated recognition (an Ojo Crítico Award, an Impala Award and several Independent Music Awards) and performed in various corners of the planet (United Kingdom, Europe, South America, USA), becoming the confessed whim of Iggy Pop himself (the iguana has not tired of praising them from his radio programme on the BBC).
