04/09/2024 - 31/10/2024 Seen: 1.206 times

This activity is part of a global project within the Alliance Française network around the world : Inside Out – Les visages de la Francophonie. The aim is to show the faces of the Francophonie in different Alliance Françaises and in different cities around the world. Each participating Alliance Française created its own collage of its community. At the same time, it is part of a large-scale initiative to highlight the diversity and richness of the Francophone world. The Alliance Française in Cartagena has collaborated with the French Lyceum in Murcia, French teachers from public and private schools and lovers of the French language in general. The exhibition of 154 photos can be seen between Gisbert Street in Cartagena, the French Lyceum in Murcia, the cultural centres of Puertas de Castilla and Santiago and Zaraiche in Murcia.

The exhibition is based on the work of French photographer JR. Street art is one of the foundations of the artist's work: sticking on the street makes art accessible to everyone. Playing with public space to convey a message. Les visages de la francophonie / faces of the francophonie show us the diversity of the francophonie in our region: diversity of origins, age, relationship with the language, roots. Its richness is demonstrated by opening a QR code at the four sites. By scanning it, visitors can listen to or read the life story of each participant, their relationship with the French language, their life story, their roots...
