FESTIVALS THAT INSPIRE: DEMOLEER AND LETRAHERIDAS

In 2019, the literary-feminist festival Letraheridas was born in Pamplona, created by Nerea Madariaga and Carolina Otamendi. The warm reception by the public and its excellent programming have made it one of the most interesting literary festivals on the national scene. Its “Oh, beloved goddesses” cycle places female authors in front of their literary icons.

This festival served, to a large extent, as inspiration for the creation of Demoleer - The feminist literature festival to break with everything - and which celebrated its first edition on May 18, 2024 at the Regional Library of Murcia.

The colloquium 'festivals that inspire' aims to be a space to reflect on the relevance of this type of literary events and their impact on the social and cultural fabric. In addition to exploring the feminist dimension of both festivals, literature written by women, alternative cultural agitation and the love of shared reading

Speakers: Ana Andújar Ruiz, Marta García Egea and María Eugenia Martínez Villa for the Demoleer Festival and Nerea Madariaga online for the Letraheridas Festival.
