HISTORY OF ISIDORO MÁIQUEZ THEATRICAL ASSOCIATION

 The Association processed its registration in the Registry of Associations on April 23,
2024, with registration number 202400142866.
 Its founding directors are Juan José Muñoz, José García Carrasco and Jaime Cros,
members of the former Isidoro Máiquez Chamber and Essay Theater, its objectives being to
promote knowledge of the great actor and innovator of the scene, Isidoro Máiquez, as well
as of the performing arts in general.
 Its planned activities are theatrical performances, staged readings,
poetic recitals, conferences, exhibitions, publications and tributes to
Cartagena figures of the performing arts, as well as annually commemorating, on March 17, the
anniversary of the birth and death of Máiquez before his monument in Plaza de San
Francisco.

ABOUT THE MAYOR
 Dedicated to all politicians with a sense of humour and who, of course, act
honestly, “Mrs. Mayor” deals, precisely in a humorous way, with the corruption of those
characters who damage the image of any party. Always, of course, more so, that of the “other”
parties; in ours, any ugly affair will always be a rara avis.
 The author, who knows why, focuses in this work the corruption in the figure of
a mayor as he could have focused it on a president of a community, a president
of a government, a deputy, a civil governor...

 Of course, the author of the text solemnly promises through Spiderman that when writing
“Madam Mayor” he did not think, not for a moment, about a specific politician, policy or party.
So, as they say in these cases, any resemblance to reality is pure
coincidence or the product of the viewer's imagination.
 Seriously speaking (even more), the author is sure that no honest politician
wants to share projects with characters like our “Madam Mayor.”
