Emilio del Río Sanz   (Logroño, November 30, 1963) is a writer, communicator, doctor in Latin Philology, professor at the Complutense University of Madrid and activist for classical humanities.


Since 2012 he has been a contributor to the programme No es un día cualquiera and Las mañanas de RNE by Pepa Fernández on Spanish National Radio with the section "Verba Volant" dedicated to Latin and classical culture.

 Since the beginning of 2021, he has been responsible for the podcast “Locos por los clásicos” on RNE, one of the most popular on public radio, for which he received an Ondas Award in 2024.
