CARTAGENA THINKS. FEMINIST READINGS SEMINAR OF THE CARTAGENA COORDINATOR. RAMÓN ALONSO LUZZY CULTURAL CENTER
We are starting our second course of the Feminist Readings Seminar. This is a space where we can read together current and classic essays with feminist content to understand the mechanisms of patriarchy, debate the most current issues of feminism, or learn about the history of advances in social justice promoted by feminist criticism. We have at our disposal great reflections by thinkers on this subject, whose reading strengthens and nourishes feminist thought and action.
This quarter we will read and discuss two books. We will start by reading 'The Sense of Consent ', by Clara Serra, which addresses the current debate around affirmative consent. We will continue with 'The King Kong Theory ' where its author, Virginie Despentes, critically addresses the most uncomfortable and overlooked issues of patriarchy.
