Cartagena Piensa, a public programme of scientific thought and culture, has presented its programme for the months of October, November and December, which includes fifteen proposals. In addition, the initiative is starting its ninth year, supported by the Cartagena City Council and organised by its promoter group.
Among the guests this quarter are the photographer Cristina García Rodero, the philosopher Ana Carrasco-Conde, the professor and essayist Carlos Javier González Serrano, the jurist Joaquín Urías, the professor of Art History Noelia García Pérez, the psychoanalyst and writer Lola López Mondéjar and the professor and essayist Cristina Guirao Mirón, among other guests.
In this new quarterly edition of the Cartagena Piensa scientific culture and thought program, which is in its 24th edition since its creation in 2016, different issues are addressed that have to do with topics of great interest such as the role of women in culture and art, the need for utopia, the effects of digitalization on contemporary individuality, resistance against intellectual manipulation and emotional totalitarianism, the relationships between philosophy and poetry, the questioned impartiality of justice, the figure and work of Cristina García Rodero, how to think in the 21st century, or what is Eastern philosophy, among others.
