CARLOS HIPÓLITO y KITI MÁNVER en 'MÚSICA PARA HITLER'
Pau Casals was forced into exile in the south of France after the Spanish Civil War. With all his resources and a great deal of effort, he devoted himself to helping thousands of his compatriots crammed into nearby labour camps. In 1943, under Nazi occupation, the musical genius received a disturbing invitation to play for the Führer .
Casals knew that refusing to do so could have terrible consequences. These dramatic events are what inspired the authors to write Music for Hitler, a moving text that recreates the personality of one of the greatest artists of the 20th century.
