CARTAGENA THINKS: BOOK PRESENTATION. PEDRO OLALLA `MYTHOLOGICAL ATLAS OF GREECE´

New version -restructured, updated and enriched- of Pedro Olalla's classic work on the geography of Greek myths.

This monumental work, the result of many years of study and field research, takes as its basis all the mythological information preserved in the texts of more than one hundred authors of Antiquity to serve it, summarized and organized, on the territory of present-day Greece.

A reference work and a cartographic travel guide at the same time, this book manages, in an unprecedented way, to unite the evocative power of ancient myths with that of places in the present and with that of the precious material remains of the past that still survive among us.

Pedro Olalla (Asturias, 1966) is a writer, Hellenist, professor, translator, and filmmaker, based in Athens since 1994. His literary and audiovisual work explores and disseminates Greek and humanist culture, combining literary, artistic, and scientific elements through a distinctly personal style. For his body of work and his efforts in promoting Greek culture, he has received, among other important accolades, the titles of Ambassador of Hellenism (Greek State), Knight of the Order of Civil Merit (Spanish State), and Associate Member of the Center for Hellenic Studies at Harvard University.
