CARTAGENA THINKS: MANU BRABO `TELLING THE STORY OF WAR IN THE TIME OF FLAT-EARTH THEORY`
We will explore the conflicts of the last fifteen years through the images captured by this freelance photojournalist and will show how the way of telling stories through photography has evolved, but above all, how war is perceived through images.
Manu Brabo is a Spanish photojournalist. He won the Pulitzer Prize in 2013. He works as a freelancer in conflict zones such as Haiti, Bolivia, and Kosovo, among others. He received the Silver Prize in War and Disaster News Stories from the China International Press Photo Award, an Honorable Mention in the Robert Capa Gold Medal from the Overseas Press Club of America, and was named Photojournalist of the Year in 2015 by the British Journalism Awards. He also received the Joaquín Bilbao Award.
