CARTAGENA THINKS: CRITICAL MASS

WHAT IS CRITICAL MASS?
Critical Mass in Cartagena was born out of the groups that advocate for
sustainable active mobility through the moviliCT for your health platform.
We go for a group bike ride once a month to enjoy ourselves and promote the use of
bicycles for everyday travel in our city.

Our cycling groups continue to demand the expansion and complete network of bike lanes in our municipality, so that we can cycle safely.
This requires proper signage, well-designed lanes, and full connectivity between the various sections of lanes that are still disconnected, some for more than 20 years. We also emphasize the importance of progressively connecting
the neighborhoods and outlying districts with the city center and with each other. This should be achieved not only through bike lanes, but also through accessible pedestrian routes and a comprehensive and efficient public transportation system for all citizens.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE and WHY PARTICIPATE?
Anyone who can ride a bike or skates can join. Children accompanied by an adult, young people and seniors.
